A25It depends on hardware interface selected. If it is Ethernet communication, maximum, 255 devices can be connected in the network, each device in unique IP address. If it is RS 485 communication, 247 units can be connected in the network then.
A26For RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 communication, the protocol is Modbus RTU. For Ethernet communication, the protocol is Modbus TCP/IP. The Recorder can be configured as Master or Slave depends on the application.
A27The OPC server is not available with the present recorder. The recorder supports Modbus slave Protocol for other devices to read the real time date from recorder. However DAQ PC software does offer DDE solution to allow data transferred to other devices like PLC, SCADA etc.
A28The data can be transferred to SD card or USB disk by doing Dump function. After 256MB internal memory is full, the earliest data and events will be saved into SD card or USB disk automatically.
A29There are two kinds of security modes available in the recorder. The normal security offers a common password. The high security with FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance supports maximum 30 users with different passwords. The 30 users can be grouped into 9 different levels. The administrator has the right to define supervisor and operators. The supervisor can change configuration, save and clear data but not operators.Operators can only view the historical data, events and status.
A30Yes. It is possible to generate PDF reports using PDF printer in the printer configuration.
A31Yes. It is possible to connect USB or network printer using USB or Ethernet port in the recorder. The Printer should support PCL4/PCL5/PCL6 or Epson ESC/P or ESC/POS printer language.
A32Yes. It is possible to display all channels using Overview mode.
A33PR10 with 4.3” display with 480*272 resolution. PR20 with 5.6” display with 640*480 resolution. PR30 with 12.1”display with 1024*768.
A34It depends on the number of channels, the log speed of channels, and the memory of SD card.  If the recorder is used with 6-channel inputs, an easy chart to show the maximum days SD card can store the data.
Log speedSD card16GB32GB
1 second 15, 808 days 31,616 days
10 seconds 158,032 days 316,064 days
120 seconds 1,896,304 days 3,792,608 days
* The above is an approximation, each record of data uses 2 or 4 bytes of memory depending on the data type.
For ex:  Selected data size = 2 bytes
If the Log Speed (the recording speed of measured data) is set to the fastest speed at 1 second per data, then for a six channels, a 16GB SD Card  will last approximately 15, 808 days [16GB / (2 bytes x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds x 6 Channels].
The following formula is to calculate how many days a USB disk can do saving before it is full.
# of days = (The capacity of SD card memory x Log Speed) / (2 x # of hours per day x 60 x 60 x Number of channels)
If the User is using USB to store data, to avoid losing recorded data while transferring to PC, it is necessary to insert USB memory back again into the recorder soon after loading recorded data onto PC.  Otherwise, data may not be recorded while the USB is absent.
A35The maximum size of SD Card and USB disk supported is 32GB. It must be formatted to FAT or FAT32. We suggest to use SanDisk or Transcend brand.
A36The firmware upgrade will delete all the data stored in the recorder. So the historical data and configuration data has to be taken backup before upgrade.
