Yes. It is possible to read the data from 3rd party devices using Modbus communication and log the data in the recorder using external channel option.
Straight through cable should be used for the real network connection between HUB and recorder. A cross through cable should be used for the non-real network connection, only between PC and recorder.
Maximum 2048 tags can be viewed from the Real-time Viewer. These tags cover AI, Math, DI, DO, Counter and Totalizer, excluding AO. If each recorder is used with 24 tags in average, then the Real-time Viewer can view maximum 85 units of recorders.
It depends on hardware interface selected. If it is Ethernet communication, maximum, 255 devices can be connected in the network, each device in unique IP address. If it is RS 485 communication, 247 units can be connected in the network then.
For RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 communication, the protocol is Modbus RTU. For Ethernet communication, the protocol is Modbus TCP/IP. The Recorder can be configured as Master or Slave depends on the application.
The OPC server is not available with the present recorder. The recorder supports Modbus slave Protocol for other devices to read the real time date from recorder. However DAQ PC software does offer DDE solution to allow data transferred to other devices like PLC, SCADA etc.
The data can be transferred to SD card or USB disk by doing Dump function. After 256MB internal memory is full, the earliest data and events will be saved into SD card or USB disk automatically.
There are two kinds of security modes available in the recorder. The normal security offers a common password. The high security with FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance supports maximum 30 users with different passwords. The 30 users can be grouped into 9 different levels. The administrator has the right to define supervisor and operators. The supervisor can change configuration, save and clear data but not operators.Operators can only view the historical data, events and status.
Yes. It is possible to generate PDF reports using PDF printer in the printer configuration.
Yes. It is possible to connect USB or network printer using USB or Ethernet port in the recorder. The Printer should support PCL4/PCL5/PCL6 or Epson ESC/P or ESC/POS printer language.
Yes. It is possible to display all channels using Overview mode.
PR10 with 4.3” display with 480*272 resolution.
PR20 with 5.6” display with 640*480 resolution.
PR30 with 12.1”display with 1024*768.
It depends on the number of channels, the log speed of channels, and the memory of SD card. If the recorder is used with 6-channel inputs, an easy chart to show the maximum days SD card can store the data.
The maximum size of SD Card and USB disk supported is 32GB. It must be formatted to FAT or FAT32. We suggest to use SanDisk or Transcend brand.
The firmware upgrade will delete all the data stored in the recorder. So the historical data and configuration data has to be taken backup before upgrade.
If necessary, contact your supplier about the latest updates. The supplier is able to supply the latest version of recorder system and PC software via email or FTP (file transfer protocol) for easy download through internet. Follow the procedure to update it into the new version of recorder system. Install the new version of Historical viewer and DAQ software. It shall automatically uninstall the old one.
Historical viewer is supplied for free. Data Acquisition studio (DAQ) is supplied at additional cost. Historical viewer is used for recorder configuration from PC and also it is used for reading historical data in PC at set time period of 1 to 24 hours. Data Acquisition studio (DAQ) is used for real time data monitoring in PC along with configuration and historical data view. DAQ can be used with 3rd party devices also with Modbus communication
No. It is not possible to change the plus version firmware from user side. If you want to change the firmware plus version then you need to send the unit back to factory to upgrade.
There are four different plus versions of firmware available for PR.
Standard: The standard version of firmware will have Input configuration and Math functions. It does not include External channels, Custom Edited Display, Batch, or FDA CFR part11 functions.
Plus 1: The Plus 1 version of firmware will have External Channel, FDA CFR21 part 11, Batch function along with the functions available in standard version firmware.
Plus 2: The Plus 2 version of firmware will have custom display screen function along with the functions available in standard version firmware.
Plus 3: The Plus 3 version firmware will have all the functions in standard version, plus 1 and plus 2 version firmware.
Yes. It is possible to add the AI, AO, DI, DO, PC201 cards for future requirements subject to the limitation of the recorder specification.
PR10 and PR20 can have one 6 channel AO card and PR30 can have maximum of two AO cards.
PR can have maximum of 24 DO.
PR can have maximum of 24 DI.
Yes. The Digital Input can accept up to 100HZ pulse input.
There are 6, 20 and 48 Timers are available in PR10, PR20 and PR30 respectively.
The counter and Totalizer can be configured using Math channels. So the quantity is depends on the Math channel.
There are 15, 40 and 60 Math channels available in PR10, PR20 and PR30 respectively.
No. It is not possible.
There are 6, 24, 48 AI channels can be connected maximum in PR10, PR20, PR30 respectively. It can be expanded by using external channel option. There are 24, 48, 96 external channels are available in PR10, PR20, PR30 respectively.
