BTC-404 Compact PID Process Controller

The BTC-404 is a panel-mount fuzzy PID controller that delivers reliable temperature and process control in a compact 1/4 DIN (96×96 mm) format. It supports thermocouple (J/K) and RTD (PT100) inputs and offers ON/OFF or time-proportional control. With features such as deviation alarm, high-visibility LED display, and selectable output types (relay, SSR, or analog), this controller is ideal for integration into industrial heating, cooling, and automation systems.

The BTC-404 features a 0.5-inch red 3-1/2 digit LED display, providing excellent readability of process values even in low-light industrial settings. The panel includes ON (red) LED lamps to indicate output status and alarm conditions, helping operators monitor real-time operation at a glance. A precise analog dial knob allows smooth adjustment of the control setpoint, ensuring accuracy and convenience during parameter setup. Designed with simplicity and reliability in mind, the BTC-404 panel interface reduces operator error and supports quick configuration without complex menus or programming steps. Wide Compatibility

Thermocouple and RTD support with high accuracy

BTC-404 supports Type J and K thermocouples as well as 3-wire PT100 RTDs (DIN or JIS standard). The input system features ±1% of span accuracy and cold junction compensation for thermocouples. It also includes upscale detection for sensor break and excellent noise immunity, ensuring stable performance in challenging industrial environments.

BTC-404 offers multiple control output formats:

  • Relay contact output (5A/240VAC)

  • SSR voltage drive (32VDC / 20mA)

  • Analog outputs: 0–10VDC, 0–20mA, or 4–20mA (load up to 500Ω)

  • Alarm relay output (2A/240VAC) with deviation settings

BTC-404 supports Type J and K thermocouples, as well as 3-wire PT100 RTD sensors (DIN or JIS standard), making it suitable for a wide range of temperature control applications.  

What output options are available for control?
